WHO'S WHO? CD Series:

- Ever wished for a convenient way to hear fellow members’ music?
- Would you like other members to hear your music?
- Looking for a co-writer or someone to play with?

Now’s your chance… Here’s how it works: Members Submit 2 songs each (Read below to see how):

-You may submit any original song recordings you would like.

-Recordings do NOT have to be of any specific quality Remember this is a songwriting organization, not a recording artist organization No matter if you are a beginner or a pro, let’s hear it all MSA will compile the songs to create a new CD each week.

-We will try to include one cut from each Thursday Featured Performer each week

-We will add 10 or 12 more member cuts (first come, first serve for now) -We will continue to cycle through all participants in this way

-When we have a substantial amount of cuts submitted, we may also create MP3 CDs with as many as 100 songs on one CD Get your Who’s Who CDs by making a modest donation ($5 for now) -Who’s Who CDs will be available immediately at all MSA events including Thursday Night Showcases. -They will be available soon through the website.

Series Rules AND How to Submit Music:

By submitting your music you agree to these terms:

You will submit only your original work to which you own the rights.

You give permission for the non-commercial use as described in this email.

These CDs will be given away as a premium for donation to the MSA and therefore have no commercial value. Nonetheless, please encourage fellow members to donate, and get a copy with a proper label rather than copying the CDs.

For now, there are two ways to submit. Physical CD or MP3. Here’s the difference. If you have a beautifully recorded CD and you want to keep that quality, then you must submit the CD. If you have an MP3 and you are happy with the sound, use the MP3. In most cases, when submitting demo quality or work-tape quality, MP3s are just as good.

SUBMITTING Physical CDs: For now, the only way to Submit CD Quality is to physically send us your music on a CD. Please include instructions for us as to which 2 tracks to use.

Mail CDs to:
Scott Logan
37 Primrose Ln.
Brunswick, ME
04011

INFORMATION WE NEED

Your Name and contact info as you would like it to appear on the CD (email at least – phone if you’d like) – IF IT IS A BAND, PLEASE INCLUDE THE MSA MEMBER NAME TOO.

If you submit a CD – instructions about which 2 cuts you would like us to use.

How you want the copyright notice – usually this will just be your name. Some might list a publishing company.
